Spirit of 12 Partners Program

About the Seattle Seahawks Charitable Foundation
Founded in 1995, the mission of the Seattle Seahawks Charitable Foundation (SSCF) is to promote the healthy social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of youth.

About the Spirit of 12 Partners Program
In fall 2004, SSCF unveiled the Spirit of 12 Partners Program, a collaboration among Seattle youth service organizations, the Seahawks, and The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. The program helps youth organizations raise money by soliciting donations for programs at Seahawks home games. Each partner keeps 100% of the proceeds, and the proceeds are matched by The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation. Additionally, partners receive proceeds from Game Day Auctions that take place during each home game. Each partner participates in two home games per season, bringing 70 to 90 youth and adult volunteers to work at each game. In 2008, over $237,000 was raised in the Qwest Spirit of 12 Partners Program and more than $1.3 million in total funds since 2004.

The current nonprofit Spirit of 12 Partners are American Heart Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Puget Sound, Boys and Girls Clubs Washington State Association, Camp Fire USA Snohomish County, and Special Olympics Washington.

Program Terms
New organizations selected for the program will participate for a three-year term. Organizations renewing their partnership will participate for a two-year term. Proposals for the Spirit of 12 program are by invitation. Unsolicited proposals will not be accepted.
