The Foundation is launching a new library initiative entitled Making Connections that focuses on strengthening the role that librarians play in connecting people to information and ideas. This initiative seeks to help librarians increase community utilization of public library services and position libraries as the "go to" place for books, media, and information. The Foundation is open to a broad range of projects that can be completed in one to three years and are designed so that results can be measured. In this first year, the initiative is open to public libraries in Washington. We will accept one application per system.
Thank you for your interest in our library initiative. The deadline for concept papers has passed. Invitations for full applications will be sent on or before April 15, 2010.
